Improvement in Bathing
Why is this important?
Being able to bathe and stay clean enables people to be more independent, have a better self-image and stay more active. Getting better at taking a bath or shower requires certain physical abilities, and this can lead to less assistance or equipment. Improvement in bathing indicates the patient is making progress or meeting goals of their care plan.
This is especially important if the patient does not have caregivers when a home health care provider is not there or when such care ends.

What we are doing to improve our performance.
Outcomes are reviewed on a regular basis and strategies addressed for improving a patient’s bathing. Physical therapists and occupational therapists will be consulted for adaptive devices that increase patient independence and safety in bathing. |
